About The Trudeau Award

In 1997, the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival presented the first Jerry Trudeau Volunteer of the Year award to none other than Jerry Trudeau.

The award was developed to honor volunteers of the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival.  The intent is to honor hard- working volunteers who sacrifice their time and energy to ensure that a successful Festival takes place each year.

It is meant to honor those who otherwise go without recognition, and frequently prefer to remain in the background.
